Working Project for CA272 - Section: 33339 - Spring 2000 Ron Liss
Instructor: CA272 Office: CT 625 Phone: 301 279-5029 I am the instructor for
this course. My full-time job is working in the administration at Montgomery
College. Currently this is the only course I teach. However, I have been working
in education since 1977. I first taught in Baltimore County High Schools for
five years. I began teaching in community colleges in 1982. I taught full-time
until 1992 when I moved to administration and have taught occasionally since.
While at Catonsville Community College I participated on a team that built their
first Website. At Montgomery College I have served on several committees dealing
with the College Website. Keeping up with the current issues with the Web is my
passion. Not only how to create web documents, but how they are effectively used
is of great interest to me. I am in no way a web development expert. However, my
background should help each of you in developing skills in web page creation.
One of my responsibilities at work and a strong interest is distance learning.
The development of Web based course delivery currently is a hot agenda item
during my full-time workday. This facet of e-commerce helps me keep current in
my area of academic study which is Instructional Design. I look forward to
working with all of you during this course.
